# Bring Google Calendar dates into twelfth

> Connect a Google Calendar as a trading, promotion or custom calendar. twelfth reads its events in your timezone, and never edits them.

Public holidays, trading periods and key dates often live in a shared Google Calendar. twelfth can now read one directly.

In [Settings → Calendars](https://twelfth.ai/app/settings/calendars), choose **Google Calendar**, connect the account, then pick the calendar and the timezone. twelfth previews the events in range and links only when every one reads cleanly.

For a promotion calendar, give each event a `SKU: …` line for one product or an `Affects: …` line for a category, brand or supplier. Recurring events and cancellations carry through. See [Calendars](https://twelfth.ai/docs/settings/calendars/) for the details.
