# Ask twelfth in Google Chat

> Message twelfth directly or @mention it in a Google Chat space, and get an answer from your workspace's data inside the access each person already has.

[twelfth for Google Chat](https://twelfth.ai/extensions/google-chat) answers where Google Workspace teams talk.

Send twelfth a direct message, or **@mention** it in a space. It receives only those messages, not the rest of the space, and answers with the asker's own twelfth access. Someone it doesn't recognise yet gets a one-time sign-in link.

Setup is two steps in either order: a twelfth admin chooses **Add to Google Chat** under [Settings → Comms & chat](https://twelfth.ai/app/settings/comms), and your Google Workspace admin installs the app. Until the Google Workspace Marketplace listing is live, [contact us](https://twelfth.ai/contact) to enable it for your domain.
