# Ask twelfth in Slack

> Mention @twelfth in a channel thread or message it directly, and get an answer from your sales, stock, supplier and pricing data without leaving Slack.

[twelfth for Slack](https://twelfth.ai/extensions/slack) brings twelfth into the conversations your team is already having.

Mention **@twelfth** in a channel thread and it answers in the thread; follow-ups in the same thread need no mention. Message it directly when a question should stay private. Each person gets the answer their own twelfth access allows, matched by work email.

React 📝 or 📌 on an answer to save it to the channel canvas, and type `/twelfth help` for a quick guide. twelfth reads only the conversations it is part of and never uses Slack data to train AI models.
