Extensions

Extensions put Twelfth inside the tools your team already works in, so a buyer can use Twelfth’s figures and tasks without switching windows.

Extension Where it runs What it does
Twelfth for Excel Excel on Windows, Mac and the web Tracked sets, products, actions and projects as Excel tables you can refresh; figures beside a column of SKUs; your tasks; questions to Twelfth with the selected cells
Raycast Raycast on Mac Today’s actions, product search and projects from the launcher. In review for the Raycast Store

How an extension connects

Every extension uses the same connection as an AI assistant: Twelfth’s MCP endpoint, signed in as you.

  1. You sign in to Twelfth and choose one workspace.
  2. You choose what the extension may read. It reads as you: your role, your remits, nothing outside them.
  3. The connection appears under Settings → AI & agents, next to your assistants. End it there at any time; it stops at once.

An extension never sees your password. It keeps a token that renews itself, so you sign in once per device.

Reading, and “Allow changes”

A new connection only reads. When you connect, the consent page also offers Allow changes. It is off unless you turn it on.

With Allow changes on, the connection can do three things, as you:

  • Mark a task done
  • Snooze a task until tomorrow or next week
  • Create a task for yourself

It can’t change anything else. Figures, prices, orders, suppliers, remits and settings stay read-only. The same rules as the app apply: for example, a task with order lines still needs an outcome in Twelfth. Every change is recorded against the connection.

To turn it on later, connect again and switch it on: in Excel, use any Allow changes button. To turn it off, end the connection in Settings → AI & agents and connect again without it. Settings → AI & agents shows each connection as read-only or can make changes.

Workspace API keys never make changes.
