Tasks & routines

Tasks is one list of individual work items. Switch between List and Board views and filter by status, task type, or where a task came from. Tasks may come from a routine, project, chat, a person, or an integration. Type describes the work; origin describes what created it. Routines are the ongoing commercial checks that raise that work: each has its own purpose, schedule, scope and run history, and it keeps a record even when a run finds nothing to do. Routines has its own place in the sidebar, beside Tasks and Projects.

Manage a routine

Each routine has its own schedule and timezone, product filters or a checklist, an optional grouping rule (one task per supplier, category, or buyer scope), and a raise condition. A run can raise several tasks, refresh tasks still open, or record that nothing met its condition. From the routine you can edit those rules, pause it, run it now, and inspect recent runs.

Settings → Tasks & routines links to the controls that currently affect this work:

  • Workspace timezone sets the workspace time basis. Existing routines retain the timezone saved on each routine until edited.
  • Notifications controls the alerts and briefings that bring work to you.
  • Decision destinations controls where committed orders and decisions go after they are raised.

Twelfth-generated recommendation routines, such as recurring purchase order or pricing reviews, need a source and ownership model before they can be managed alongside a person’s routines. Until that is implemented, the settings page does not offer a switch that suggests those generators can be paused or tuned here.
