Workspace defaults
Open Settings → Defaults to set the shared rules that Twelfth uses for your workspace. Owners and admins can change them. People can override briefing delivery and alert choices in Notifications.
Regional settings
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Timezone | Schedules, routines, and activity timestamps. |
| Currency | The default currency for commercial values. |
| Country | Regional formats and future integrations. |
Briefing defaults
These controls set the starting point for every person’s regular brief. A person can keep the default or choose their own delivery settings.
| Control | What to choose |
|---|---|
| Delivery time | Choose when the team’s morning brief should arrive. For example, 6:00 AM gives people time to read it before the workday. |
| Channel | Choose email and in-app for both places, email for inbox-only delivery, or in-app to keep briefs inside Twelfth. |
| Monday deep brief | Turn this on when the team should receive a longer weekly portfolio and category read at the start of the week. |
Default alerts
These are the alerts new members receive unless they make a personal choice. Every alert starts off — nobody receives notification email until an alert is turned on here or in a member’s personal settings. Turn on only the signals the whole team should see by default.
| Alert | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Decide-today alerts | Use when people need to know that a decision is ready for their sign-off. |
| Above-threshold escalations | Use when a commercial signal passes the workspace guardrail and needs attention. |
| Promo lock-date reminders | Use when the team needs notice before a promotion reaches its commitment date. |
| Weekly digest | Use for a regular portfolio and category summary. |
Decision guardrails
Guardrails tell Twelfth when commercial work needs more review. Agree these with the people responsible for commercial policy before changing them.
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Category GP floor | Enter the lowest acceptable gross-profit percentage. New lines below it are held for review rather than moving ahead as normal. |
| Your authority limit | Enter the largest value that can be approved at this level. Decisions above it are sent to a manager for sign-off. |
| Strategic vendors | Keep this on to limit changes to strategic-vendor settings to authorised operators. Turn it off only when your workspace policy allows broader access. |
Changing a guardrail changes who is asked to review commercial work. Confirm the policy and decision owner first.
