Stock transfers
A transfer decision moves stock between locations. Transfers are one of the decision types that flow through the pipeline: twelfth surfaces them in Triage, you commit the move, and it waits in Pending until the transfer is booked.
What twelfth recommends
The engine surfaces a transfer when stock is in the wrong place — one location short while another is long on the same line. Rebalancing avoids a buy at one site and a markdown at another. Each recommendation shows the recommended quantity, source, and destination, with the cover position at each end.
Reviewing a transfer
- Open the item in Triage to see the recommended move and the cover on both sides.
- Adjust the quantity or lane where you know more — a location that is about to receive a delivery, a lane that is impractical this week.
- Commit the transfer. It moves to Pending, grouped under the Transfer type, ready to book.
Multi-location moves
A single recommendation can span several source or destination locations. Review each leg before committing so the whole move reflects what you intend.
