Workspace

A Twelfth workspace is an organisation and its shared data. Open Settings → Workspace to see the active workspace and move between organisations you belong to.

Workspace identity

Workspace owners and admins can update the workspace name and logo. The name is shown throughout Twelfth. The logo accepts PNG, JPEG, and WebP images up to 5 MB; Twelfth fits it within a compact image rather than cropping a wordmark.

The workspace slug is shown as a stable identifier for integrations. It is read-only in Settings.

Switch, create, and leave

The workspaces you belong to are listed under My workspaces, each with a Switch action. Switching changes the active organisation for the app and for workspace-scoped settings. You can also create a new workspace from here.

To leave a workspace you’re a member of, use Leave workspace and confirm by typing the workspace name.

The last owner can’t just leave

If you’re the only owner, you can’t leave until you promote another member to owner in Members, or delete the workspace instead.

Invitations

Pending invitations are shown under My workspaces. Select Accept to join the invited workspace, or Decline to dismiss it. Invitations are organisation-specific; Twelfth does not create personal workspaces.

Note

The person’s personal profile and preferences remain their own after they join. Their permissions in the new workspace are set by their membership role.

Delete a workspace

Deleting a workspace is in the Danger zone at the bottom of Settings → Workspace, and only an owner sees it.

  • Request deletion. Owners choose Request workspace deletion and can add an optional reason. Twelfth’s team runs the deletion — the request is sent to us and nothing is deleted yet. This protects a workspace with live data from being removed by a single click.
  • Deletion is permanent once carried out: it removes the workspace and its shared data for everyone in it.

If you only want to step away from a workspace rather than remove it for the whole team, use Leave workspace instead.
