Read the pricing Brief

The Brief is the weekly editorial view of your tracked set. It highlights meaningful competitor price moves, stock changes, exposed lines, and categories that stayed quiet so you can decide where to spend attention.

Choose the range you are reading

Use Reading for → Sellers to select one or more seller portfolios, or choose every seller for a marketplace-wide read. The index tiles, category observations, SKU counts, and coverage summary update to that scope.

The Brief may open on a commonly reviewed seller when that seller exists in the workspace. Clear or change the selection whenever you need a different portfolio.

Read the index tiles

Use Live, 4 wk, 8 wk, or 12 wk to change the comparison window.

• Live compares today’s observed prices for every SKU with a competitor price today. Its note counts lines that are over, under, or level with the market.
• 4, 8, and 12 wk compare rolling average prices using SKUs with enough matched history.
• 100 is price parity on the Brief. Below 100 means the competitor is cheaper than your marketplace price; above 100 means your marketplace price is cheaper.
• A dash means there is not enough matched history for a reliable index.

Click an index tile to open the Tracked set with the same seller, competitor, and time-window scope.

Work through this week’s observations

Each category row explains what happened, why it matters, and which lines have the largest dollar gap. Its disposition is deliberately a prompt:

• Needs a decision or Needs a conversation marks a category that deserves attention.
• Watch marks movement that does not currently expose a seller strongly enough to call for action.

Use Ask twelfth about this to continue with the observation in a chat. Use See the SKUs to open the exact category and SKU set behind the claim.

Tracking suggestions and coverage

A Not yet tracked suggestion identifies a range that may be worth adding. Add to tracked set accepts it; the new lines can appear before competitor matching and history are complete. Show me why opens a chat with the reason for the suggestion.

The coverage strip at the bottom shows how many SKUs are tracked and matched, the retailer feeds represented, and the last and next scrape times. Treat low or newly added coverage as context when reading a dash or a thin index.
