Shopify inbound data
Connect your store from Settings → Integrations → Shopify, then use
Manage to see the store, granted read scopes, Last order and any
Last update failed message.
What is imported today
The connector receives supported Shopify order events and updates their sales
lines. New orders, changed orders and cancellations are covered. Read scopes
also include products, inventory, customers, locations and price rules, but a
permission is not the same as a completed import.
This connector does not currently run a full historical order backfill or a
full product-catalogue and inventory sync. Last order is the last processed
order update, not confirmation that every store record has been refreshed.
For historical coverage or a complete product and stock source, contact Twelfth
about the workspace’s data setup.
Order lines and discounts
An order line supplies product identifiers, SKU, quantity, unit price,
currency, location and sale date. The processed sale date is preferred, with
created or updated time used when it is absent.
Sales use the line quantity and price less its allocated discount. Shopify can
allocate an order-level discount to individual lines even when their separate
line-discount field is zero; Twelfth uses those allocations first and falls
back to the line discount when no allocations are supplied. The same discount
reduces sales and gross profit calculations.
Gross profit and category views also require matched catalogue and cost
context. An order event arriving does not guarantee every Performance view
can show it. If Last order updates but expected figures are missing, ask
Twelfth to check the catalogue and source mapping.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation updates mark the order’s lines voided so they drop out of sales
totals. Repeated deliveries of the same event do not add the sale again.
Separate refund events do not currently create normalised refund sales lines.
Do not assume a partial refund has been subtracted merely because Shopify
sent its webhook. This source alone is not a full refund reconciliation.
If nothing appears
- Check the connected Store is the one you intend to use.
- Open Manage and read Last order and any update error.
- Compare an actual order created or changed after connecting. Connecting
alone does not fetch past orders. - If the source still does not update, contact Twelfth with the store domain
and order reference. Twelfth can check the event subscription and delivery.
If the same Shopify orders also flow into Qoblex,
connecting both can count them twice. Choose the intended sales source.
Customer data
Stored order events omit customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and
addresses; an opaque customer ID supports repeat-purchase analysis. Twelfth
handles Shopify’s customer data-request and deletion notifications. Customer
deletion clears the identifying reference while retaining commercial sales
facts; store-level deletion is handled when Shopify requests it.
Uninstalling the app revokes the connection. Disconnecting in Twelfth removes
the stored credential; those actions do not promise that all historical
commercial data has been erased.
